FAQ

What is ecashremit.com?

This is a new way of remitting money to loved ones. Ecash is very efficient, fast and cheaper than most money transfer companies today.

How different is ecashremit.com from the other money transfer companies?

Its unique business model has embraced fully the advantages offered by the information technology revolution which means that it has made transactions cheaper and convenient.

How does it work?

With ecashremit.com, you can either set up as an agent and operate your own money transfer business or send your own money through the platform. You pay lower fees when you do your own transactions online. It is very simple.

How do I send money as an individual?

You will need a username and password to start using the system. All you have to do is to send us an email with your full name and address and we will set accounts up for you straightaway. We are currently offering this service to only UK based customers. You should have a UK bank accounts and all you do is to transfer your money online from your bank to our bank accounts. We endeavour to make instant payments but this is dependent on the bank accounts that you have as well as your bank. For some bank accounts and banks, it might take up to five working days before your money actually reaches our accounts, which means that your transaction will not be paid until the cleared funds have been received. You pay an extremely low fee and we can even send your recipient an email or text message to collect their monies when the transaction has settled. You only pay half the fee you would normally pay on transfers through an agent.

So how can you identify my payments?

You are expected to put a reference number any time that you transfer money from your accounts to our bank accounts. This reference number should be your manual reference number when remitting your funds. The recipient can use this number together with the required identification to cash the money. It is that simple.

What happens when I no longer require the transaction?

We will transfer your money back to you, but you will lose your commission paid to cover administrative costs. For instance, we are currently charging £2.50 for amounts up to £100. You will only lose £2.50 when you cancel transactions. The £100 will be transferred back to you.

So how does it work with agents?

The agent model is also simple. Agents work on their own and this is explained in detail in the manual that we will send to you when you register as an agent.
